  190.  WHAT IS A SYMPHONY ADD-IN?

  192.   *  Symphony Add-ins are software products that "attach" to Symphony and
  193.      become an integral part of it.  Symphony Add-ins can enhance Symphony's
  194.      capabilities, or they can provide a link to other programs or systems
  195.      separate from Symphony.  Add-ins will be developed by Lotus, as well as
  196.      by independent developers.

  199.  WHAT IS A LOTUS CERTIFIED COMPATIBLE? 
  200.  
  201.   *  A Lotus Certified Compatible is a computer system which Lotus has
  202.      tested in accordance with its Certification Program and deemed suitable
  203.      for use with Symphony and/or 1-2-3.  Lotus will announce compatibility
  204.      test results as they become available. 
  205.   +  Compatibility testing is done both in the United States and in Europe.
  206.      Because a machine is Lotus Certified Compatible in the United States
  207.      does not mean that it is automatically Lotus Certified Compatible in
  208.      Europe. 
  209.   *  Computer systems which Lotus deems compatible fall into two classes: 
  210.      --  Those which run a Lotus product under normal conditions and with no
  211.          known special considerations for the user. 
  212.      --  Those which run a Lotus product under special conditions and/or
  213.          with special considerations for the user.  See the COMPUTER SYSTEM

  307.      professionals.  It combines word processing, spreadsheet, database,
  308.      communications, graphics, and more into one complete system.

  310.      IBM PC version of Symphony.  To do so, owners should obtain an Exchange
  311.      Kit from any Authorized Lotus Dealer.  The Exchange Kit costs $200, and
  312.      the Symphony Exchange Program will last through March 1985.
